Educators should engage annually in professional development and use newly learned strategies and ideas to continually improve their skill set. Educators will need to adapt their teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual student’s way of learning, so both parties can succeed. Ongoing Professional Development opportunities provide the knowledge and resources to enable any educator, including myself, to become a great teacher by maintaining my knowledge of new practices and information.

When writing letters to parents and students a teacher needs to provide a welcoming value to letters and e-mails. This ensures that students and parent(s)/guardian(s) feel comfortable and will understand the expectations of communication between the teacher and themselves. I made an example to serve as a template for my future students and parents.
Kappa Delta Pi Membership:
Being a part of Kappa Delta Pi honor society provides me with access to webinars, conventions, and online forums. With access to all these resources, I have multiple opportunities to communicate with other educators and learn new professional practices. It also provides me new literature about educational practices, availability to grants, and scholarships to further the education of others and myself.
